BACKGROUND

 

The Ottawa Public Health 2006 Annual Report provides an overview of how Ottawa Public Health served Ottawa residents in 2006.

 

2006 was a busy and rewarding year.  Ottawa Public Health received several awards that are testament to the success of its programs and services.  Our health professionals work relentlessly to make a difference in the lives of so many residents.  The home visits, water testing, dental screenings, tobacco prevention initiatives, school activities, food premise inspections, management of infectious disease outbreaks, and numerous other programs are vital in ensuring the well being and the health of our community.
