An example of 1930s Art Deco, built primarily of materials from Quebec and France. Highlights include a replica of the Vimy Memorial, bronze decorations by André Bizette-Lindet, a mural by Alfred Courmes, and historical wall engravings. For the first time, the Salon de l’hon. George W. Vari (formerly the Birch Bark room) will be open to the public. No strollers, backpacks, metal objects, food or drinks. Photography limited. Pre-registration required at https://ca.ambafrance.org between May 23 and June 1, 2019. Limited passes are available on a first come, first serve basis (closed from noon to 1 p.m.).
