MOTION - Pool Enclosures - Lockable Gates -ACS2009-CCS-PEC-0019 (PEC 09-09) 8-Sep-09 M. Recommendation 3 will be addressed as part of the review of the By-law.  The report is scheduled for Planning Committee in Q1 of 2012.    
Direction to Staff: That PGM and Legal Services staff outline changes to Section 34 of the Planning Act which allow municipalities to pass zoning by-laws with conditions and recommend what the “prescribed conditions” should be to allow PEC and Council to exercise this new authority. 22-Sep-09   http://ottawa.ca/calendar/ottawa/citycouncil/pec/2009/09-22/englishdisposition60.htm ISCS - PGM In Progress: Section 34 (15) enables Council to prescribe conditions relating to zoning, but in order to do that, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing must make a regulation for this purpose, and that has yet to occur.  When the Ministry creates this regulation, Council will be empowered to utilize the conditional zoning authority of Section 34 (15).  At that time, staff will report to Committee and Council with a recommendation on the means to implement this authority within that regulation.  Staff will report back to Committee when this regulation is enacted. The Province has not indicated when the Regulation will be released; possibly sometime in 2012.  As a result, it is not possible to provide a date by which staff will be able to respond.    
MOTION - Deletion of Centrum Boulevard Extension - ACS2010-CCS-PEC-0011 (PEC 03-10) 23-Mar-10 B. MOTION -  That staff ensure that the question of parking standards in Stittsville is before Planning and Environment Committee, with the requisite consultation and public notice, no later than the first meeting of Committee in May 2011, such that a new by-law, as Council deems appropriate, can be enacted prior to June 25, 2011.                             27-Apr-10 S. MOTION - Standard Subdivision Agreement - Gateway Features: That staff bring back a policy discussion coming back to PEC and Council on how to fund Gateway Features, and that staff be authorized to amend the Agreement and Conditions based on Council’s policy discussion.  27-Apr-10 D. Approve that the Commemorative Naming Committee (CNC) be directed at the earliest opportunity to undertake a process to find a suitable location to recognize the significant contribution of the Robertson family to the area; and that Council waive the 10 year retirement rule for commemorative Naming policy. 12-Apr-11 A. That the Planning Committee direct staff to include an initiative to undertake a comprehensive review and inventory of Lowertown East’s remaining heritage and report back on the findings in the draft 2012 Planning and Growth Management Work lan that will be considered by Planning Committee in January 2012.

15-Aug-11   http://ottawa.ca/calendar/ottawa/citycouncil/pec/2011/08-15/englishdisposition18.htm ISCS-PGM In Progress: This is an initiative to be included in the Planning Department’s 2012 Work Plan.  Initial inventory work is expected to be carried out in co-operation with graduate students in Canadian Studies/Heritage Conservation at Carleton University during the winter of 2012. Work will supervised by heritage planning staff. A more in-depth heritage analysis would require consideration as part of a future departmental work program, subject to available staff resources and workload.
