SUBJECT: BAIRD
REZONING TO RURAL EXCEPTION
OBJET: REZONAGE
BAIRD À ZONAGE EXCEPTION RURAL
REPORT RECOMMENDATION
That the Planning and
Development Committee recommend that Council approve an amendment to the former
Osgoode Zoning By-law 16-1971, to change the zoning from Extractive Industrial
Holding to Rural Exception as shown in Document 1.
The subject land lies in Lot 12, Concession 4
at 1926 Old Prescott Road in former Osgoode. The applicant has received
conditional approval from the Rural Alliance Severance Committee to sever the
existing house on the subject property from the lands with the licenced sand
pit.
The property is designated Mineral Resources
the Region’s and Osgoode’s Official Plan.
The Region’s Official Plan contemplates the severance of an existing
residence from licenced pits.
The proposed rezoning will implement the Rural
Alliance decision. The proposed zoning
of the existing residence and land to Rural Exception would allow for the
house, rural uses and reduced lot size.
Notification of the application and Public
Meeting was given to property owners within 120 metres of the applications, and
an advertisement was placed in the local paper. A technical circulation was completed to commenting agencies.
