SUBJECT: HILL
REZONING TO COUNTRY ESTATE
OBJET: REZONAGE
HILL À ZONAGE PROPRIÉTÉ DE
CAMPAGNE
REPORT RECOMMENDATION
That the Planning and
Development Committee recommend that Council approve an amendment to the former
Osgoode Zoning By-law 16-1971, to change the zoning from Rural to Country
Estate as shown in Document 1.
The subject land lies in Lot 30, Concession 9 on Springhill Road in former Osgoode. The applicant has received conditional approval from the Rural Alliance Severance Committee to sever the subject property into two country estate lots.
The property is designated Agricultural Resource in the Region’s and Osgoode’s Official Plan. Osgoode’s Official Plan requires rezoning of such lands for country estate purposes.
The proposed rezoning will implement the Rural Alliance decision. The proposed zoning for the two proposed lots is Country Estate.
RURAL IMPLICATIONS
This proposal creates two new lots in an agricultural area.
Notification of the application and Public Meeting was given to property owners within 120 metres of the applications, and an advertisement was placed in the local paper. A technical circulation was completed to commenting agencies.
