Summary of Complaint:
The complainant was upset that a Call Center agent was of no assistance when they contacted Ottawa Police Service for help. A child's mother was ill and unable to pick up the child at a community center. As the complainant did not have the mother's consent to drive the child home, a call was placed to Ottawa Police Service for assistance. The complainant was advised the Ottawa Police Service could not authorize consent on behalf of the child’s mother.
Summary of Findings and Actions Taken:
The Office of the Independent Police Review Director classified this matter as a service complaint and has opted not to proceed with the complaint as it has been determined that it is not in the public interest to do so.

Summary of Complaint:
The complainant was charged $50 for a copy of a police report. The complainant states when a call was place to the police, the person taking the call was very rude. The complainant wants the money back as the copy of the report is no longer required.

The Office of the Independent Police Review Director classified this matter as a service complaint and has opted not to proceed with the complaint as it has been determined that it is not in the public interest to do so.
