SUBJECT/OBJET 2013 POLICE SERVICES BOARD MEETING SCHEDULE
That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve the 2013 meeting schedule.
DISCUSSION
Since 1995 the Police Services Board has typically held regular monthly meetings on the fourth Monday of each month. The meetings are held at 5:00 p.m. in the Champlain Room, Heritage Building, Ottawa City Hall.
Annex A contains a schedule of Police Services Board meetings for the year 2013 in accordance with past practice. There are two months when the meeting will not be held on the fourth Monday, as follows:
· There is no meeting in August, as is the Board’s normal practice.
· The December meeting is scheduled on the third Monday, December 16th, because the fourth Monday is the week of Christmas.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS
Costs associated with the holding of regular Board meetings and community / public interest meetings have been included in the 2013 Draft Budget for the Police Services Board.
CONCLUSION
The schedule attached as Annex A sets out dates for the Board’s regular meetings in 2013. Dates and topics for community focused public interest meetings will be added to the schedule at a later date.
