That the Ottawa Police Services Board receive this report for information.

2.         2013 DRAFT OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGETS

 

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board:

 

1.      Approve the Ottawa Police Service 2013 Draft Operating and Capital Budgets.

 

2.      Upon approval, forward the Ottawa Police Service Operating and Capital Budgets to Council for review and approval.

3.         700 MHz BROADBAND FOR PUBLIC SAFETY USE

 

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board write to the Federal Minister of Industry and copy the Prime Minister, the Minister of Public Safety and the Minister of Finance, expressing support for the designation of an additional 10 MHz in the 700MHz (D block) broadband spectrum for use by public safety agencies.

4.         AMENDMENT TO BOARD POLICY ON CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

 

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve:

 

1)     the definition of “Child Luring” in Board Policy LE-036 be amended by replacing the word “computers” with “telecommunications systems”.

2)    the amended Board Policy #LE‑036 on Child Pornography (Internet Child Exploitation) set out in Annex A.

5.         AMENDMENTS TO BOARD POLICIES ON WORKPLACE VIOLENCE AND HARASSMENT, and EQUAL OPPORTUNITY, DISCRIMINATION AND WORKPLACE HARASSMENT

 

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve:

 

1.     The amended Board Policy #CR-13 on Workplace Violence and Harassment Prevention attached at Annex A.

2.     The amended Board Policy #AI-003 on Equal Opportunity, Discrimination and Workplace Harassment Prevention attached at Annex B.

6.         ROCKCLIFFE COMMUNITY POLICE CENTRE LEASE RENEWAL

 

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve the renewal of a lease for the Rockcliffe Community Police Centre effective September 1, 2012 to August 31, 2014, at a cost of $11,281.20 in the first year, inclusive of tax and utilities.

7.         CULTURAL WINE & FOOD SHOW IN SUPPORT OF THOMAS G. FLANAGAN, S.C. SCHOLARSHIP

 

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve funding for one table at the Cultural Wine and Food Show Fundraising event being held on 20 February 2013 at the Ottawa Police Association, at a cost of $500.

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve the 2013 meeting schedule.

9.         NEW APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL CONSTABLE – OTTAWA POLICE SERVICE

 

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve the appointment of Kevin Putinski as Special Constable, pursuant to Section 53(3) of the Police Services Act, in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the attached Approval of Appointment form.
