GENERAL MEETING

 

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Association of Police Boards will be held in the Regency Ballroom at the Hotel Saskatchewan Radisson Plaza, 2125 Victoria Avenue, Regina, Saskatchewan on Friday, August 19, 2011 beginning at 9:30 am.  All members of CAPB are invited to attend.

 

Pursuant to Section 3.5 (1) of the General By-law of the Canadian Association of Police Boards, this shall be considered formal notice. 

 

The 2011 Annual Meeting of the Canadian Association of Police Boards on Friday, August 19, 2011 commencing at 9:30 am for the purpose of:

 

1.            Confirming the Minutes of the 21 Annual Meeting held on Friday, August 20, 2010

2.            Consideration of Resolutions

3.            Receiving the Financial Statement of the Auditor’s Report for the 2010 Fiscal Year

4.            Appointment of an Auditor for the 2011 Fiscal Year

5.            Electing the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the term 2011/2012

6.            Transacting such other business as may be properly brought before the meeting.

 

The CAPB General By-Law provides that each individual member of a municipal police board/commission that is a member of the CAPB and is present at the Annual Meeting shall have the right to exercise one vote on any matter before the membership.  Board staffs, chiefs of police and police service employees are not eligible to vote.  Boards that have not yet submitted their 2011 membership dues are reminded that dues must be received by the CAPB prior to the conference in order for their conference delegates to exercise their voting privileges.
