Cst. Lenworth Vaz

Cst. Claude Pepin

Cst. Vaz, thank you for joining our Multicultural Potluck.  Everyone was thrilled when you and Cst. Pepin arrived – I’m sure you could tell by the applause that greeted your entrance!..It was a pleasant surprise when you and Cst. Pepin spoke about your cultural backgrounds.  It allows the members of this community to see the human face of policing and not just the uniform.  We feel better knowing that good people like you are out there watching out for us.

Doyle Salewski Inc.

Det. Jorge Mendonca

Det. Guy Mathieu

Recently, Detectives Mendonca and Mathieu assisted our firm with a client..., who is mentally challenged, therefore his circumstance is somewhat special.  I want to bring to your attention that the competence, professionalism and kindness that both officers displayed were outstanding…

Crown Law Office

Ministry of the Attorney General

Cst. Dave Smith

I was the prosecutor assigned to a case in which Cst. Smith investigated a fatal motor accident caused by an on-duty RCMP officer…I would like to acknowledge the careful and thorough investigation that Cst. Smith carried out…It was a difficult task because he had to investigate a fellow police officer, even though one from a different police service, and he conducted it without fear or favour to any party. He also liaised very effectively with the family of the deceased, who were, not surprisingly, devastated by this event…

I just read another article in the newspaper in which they detail the dramatic decline of road fatalities…It also mentions the subsequent increase in ticket revenue due to this enforcement. I find it ridiculous that there are detractors commenting that this is another way to garner tax revenue…Vince Bevan stated that while this is correct the ultimate goal is for the safety of our citizens.  I would like to state that I have been ticketed in the past and it is not a pleasurable event, however I now realize the bigger picture of what you are trying to accomplish…Keep up the continued enforcement...and let’s see next year’s quarterly report register “0” for traffic related deaths.

Bank of Canada

Cst. Mark Cartwright

The New RO aired a report on the news giving excellent counterfeit prevention advice. Cst. Mark Cartwright is interviewed on how to recognize a genuine bill…The report also mentions that police recommend not to depend on U.V. lights because counterfeits can sometimes fool them.  It’s nice to see this message getting out there…I was pleased to see that the Ottawa Police messaging was very strong and focussed squarely on what you can easily do to protect yourself.

Event Coordinator, Corel Centre

Ms. Danielle Grant-Carroll

Sgt. Bob Barette

Sgt. Paul Wilson

I wanted to thank everyone at OPS who worked with us here at the Corel Centre this past season. I feel that this was one of the best years we’ve had between our two organizations and I look forward to building on that success next fall when we gear up for another season. I also wanted to send a special thank you to Danielle Grant who has been an absolute pleasure to deal with this entire season.... Thanks again to everyone involved in making this building a safe, secure, environment for all to enjoy.

Cst. Sandra Sparling

Last week I was rear ended and…pushed into the middle of the intersection by the impact. I was very ably assisted by Cst. Sparling.  During the interview she conducted herself in a professional manner but also with compassion.  I am very grateful for her assistance and it is reassuring that we have people like her looking out for and serving our citizens.

On behalf of the organizing committee for the Queen’s Community & Police Mobilization Program, I want to express our appreciation for your ongoing support and for the assistance of Sgt. Cooper.  Sgt. Cooper’s knowledge of community issues, her experience, as a facilitator, and her leadership and commitment have been instrumental to the success of the program.

Sgt. John Crozier

Escort Team

I wish to thank you and your force for the fine escort service provided by your traffic division from Boyce’s Funeral Home to the Malloch Rd. Cemetary…. The officers were very considerate and professional.  It was very touching when they saluted the funeral procession entering the cemetery and much appreciated by myself and family at a stressful time.

Cst. Helen Grus

Cst. David Merkel

The purpose of this letter is to inform you, as Chief of Police, of two constables who provided an excellent job in assisting my husband and me at the time of our house fire…I arrived home to discover a fire in the chimney and the house full of smoke. Within a very short time after placing a call to 9 1 1, the officers arrived, and stayed, carrying out their professional responsibilities while at the same time providing my husband and me with support and caring, which eased the stress of a difficult time for each of us…

Cst. Bonita Grozelle

This letter is to say thank you to one of your officers at the Orleans station.  I went in there all distraught because I had just caught my 12-year old son stealing a large sum of money…..Cst. Grozelle stepped right up to the plate and took over.  She took time out of her busy schedule to help us with the situation…She sure scared him straight and gave him a good reality check.  She may think she was just doing her job but we both think she may have just put our son back on the right track…
