DISPOSITION OF ITEMS APPROVED BY COMMITTEES UNDER DELEGATED AUTHORITY
For the information of Council, the following
item was approved by the Finance and Economic Development Committee under
Delegated Authority, at its meeting of 12 January 2012:
7. SALE OF PROPERTY - 1 CEDAROW COURT

That the Finance and Economic Development Committee approve the
following:
1.
Declare the property
known municipally as 1 Cedarow Court and described as part of Lot 7 Registered
Plan 4M-691, in the City of Ottawa, being part of PIN 04466-0064, containing an
area of 1442.7 m2 (15,529 square feet) shown hatched on Document ‘1’
attached, as surplus to the City’s needs; and
2.
Approve the sale of the
property detailed in Recommendation 1, subject to the existing lease and any
easements that may be required, to Dimitre Kastelov and Roumen Atanassov for
the amount of $315,000 plus HST if applicable, pursuant to an Agreement of
Purchase and Sale that has been received.

That the Planning Committee receive this report for information.
RECEIVED
AND WHEREAS the property owner could provide one extra parking space on site at
the expense of removing an existing mature tree;
AND WHEREAS it is preferable to maintain the existing tree instead
of providing that one extra parking space;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT since the tree is being saved, the amount of money
to be paid for one of the three approved cash-in-lieu of parking spaces be
reduced from two-thousand six-hundred ($2,600) to one ($1) dollar, for a total
required cash-in-lieu of parking payment of five-thousand two-hundred and one
($5,201) dollars.
