COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION
That Council approve the following appointments of individuals to the Ottawa Municipal Campground Authority. All voting members’ terms to expire as indicated.
Vincent Wong (term to expire November 30, 2015)
Ivan Barclay (term to expire November 30, 2014)
Que le Conseil approuve la nomination des personnes suivantes au Conseil de gestion du Terrain de camping municipal d’Ottawa. Le mandat de tous les membres avec droit de vote se terminera tel qu’indiqué. Le mandat de tous les membres de réserve prendra fin conformément à la Politique de nomination.

REPORT RECOMMENDATION
Further to deliberations by the Selection Panel, that the Finance and Economic Development Committee recommend Council approve the following appointments of individuals to the Ottawa Municipal Campground Authority. All voting members’ terms to expire as indicated.
Vincent Wong (term to expire November 30, 2015)
Ivan Barclay (term to expire November 30, 2014)
Par suite des délibérations du jury de sélection, que le Comité des finances et du développement économique recommande au Conseil d’approuves la nomination des personnes suivantes au Conseil de gestion du Terrain de camping municipal d’Ottawa. Le mandat de tous les membres avec droit de vote se terminera tel qu’indiqué. Le mandat de tous les membres de réserve prendra fin conformément à la Politique de nomination.

The Council-approved Appointment Policy for Citizen Members of City Advisory Committees, Boards, Commissions, Task Forces and Authorities, approved by City Council on 6 December 2006, outlines the process and requirements for recruiting citizen members to the City’s advisory committees and boards, as well as external boards, commissions and authorities for which members are required.
The Selection Panel was comprised of Councillor Taylor, Councillor Hubley, Martin Brennan and Fraser Campbell, members of the Authority.
CONSULTATION
Advertisements for membership on various City of Ottawa advisory committees and boards were placed in the Ottawa Citizen, the Ottawa Sun, Le Droit, as well as various community newspapers beginning January 21, 2011. In addition, ads were posted on the City website, at all City facilities, and were sent to a number of organizations and associations with a potential interest.
The application deadline was Friday, February 4, 2011.
