On January 13, 2010 Council approved the Functional Design of the DOTT project and directed City staff to initiate the formal expedited EA process using the Functional Design to define the undertaking and file the Environmental Project Report (EPR) with the Ministry of the Environment.
In
accordance with this direction, staff submitted the EPR to the Ontario Ministry
of the Environment on June 11, 2010. On this date, the EPR was posted on the
project website, www.ottawalightrail.ca
for the 30-day public review period. Notice of the completion of the EPR was
published in the Ottawa Citizen and Le Droit, posted on ottawa.ca, and printed
copies were made available at 11 different locations, including four City Client
Service Centres, three branches of the Ottawa Public Library and the Central
Archives. Environmental Assessment approval
was received by the City on August 17, 2010.

Le 13 janvier 2010, le Conseil a approuvé
la conception fonctionnelle du projet de tunnel de transport en commun et a
demandé au personnel municipal d’entreprendre le processus officiel d’évaluation
environnementale accélérée basée sur la conception fonctionnelle afin de définir
l’opération et de déposer le rapport de projet environnemental au ministère de
l’Environnement.
Conformément
à cette directive, le personnel a soumis le Rapport de projet environnemental
(RPE) au ministère de l’Environnement le 11 juin 2010. À ce jour, le RPE a été
affiché sur le site Web du projet, www.ottawalightrail.ca/fr, pour
la période d’examen public de 30 jours. Un avis d’achèvement du RPE a été publié
dans le Ottawa Citizen et Le Droit et affiché sur
ottawa.ca, et des copies imprimées ont été mises à la disposition du public dans
11 différents emplacements, y compris quatre centres du service à la clientèle,
trois succursales de la Bibliothèque publique d’Ottawa et les Archives
centrales. La Ville a reçu l’approbation de l’évaluation environnementale le 17
août 2010.
