That following the receipt of responses from municipalities in Ontario, staff petition the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario for amendments to Highway Traffic Act as shown in (1) and report back to Council on progress made on this issue by the end of Q2 2010.

MOTION NO. 77/6 - LLP - That in the Waterfall that the City’s deemed equity include any funds paid out from reserves or as cash payments in addition to the items stipulated in Section 10 of the MOU of the LLP...that the City Manager develop the final details of the payout provisions and recommend the final system to City Council at the May meeting with other tabled reports.

OC Transpo staff would report to TTC on this shorter-term plan after the presentation to Council of the longer-term Lansdowne transportation study but before the beginning of the 2010-11 hockey season.  If there are elements that require agreement with outside groups, staff would begin discussions with those groups.  If there are any funding requirements, staff would bring them forward for consideration as part of the 2011 OC Transpo Marketing Plan and the 2011 transit service budget.		          
MOTION NO. 77/17 - LLP - That the City Manager, in consultation with the Strategic Design Review and Advisory Panel, retain a consultant with expertise in developing unique and specialty retail/festival market retailing strategies for unique urban places to work with the City Manager, the Design Review and Advisory Panel and OSEG to develop a retailing/commercial strategy that will define and clarify the vision for the commercial aspects of the Lansdowne revitalization (retail, office, hotel), and illustrate the unique aspects of each program group. 12-Nov-09 P. MOTION NO. 77/22 - LLP - That the City Manager be directed to initiate a design competition for the design of the New water front park/front yard including the Ottawa Farmer’s Market, Horticultural Building and the Aberdeen Pavilion through the issuance of a request for interest and qualifications from groups with expertise and demonstrated qualifications to design unique public spaces...and that the design competition process include a public consultation process...and that the winning proposal be selected by a jury.

MOTION NO. 81/12 - Staff to set a date and to invite local, provincial and federal representatives of governments who abut the Ottawa River to attend the first intergovernmental Source Water Protection Committee for the Ottawa River at Ottawa City Hall.  This committee to be tasked with the objective of preparing a comprehensive status report on the quality of the river and to propose a plan of action for the continuing protection of the river.

MOTION NO. 82/12 - That City Council implement a two-semester pilot program for Carleton and Ottawa U establishing a U-Pass for $145/semester, beginning in September 2010 with no changes to the service levels and with any resulting revenue deficit in 2010 to be taken from the Transit Reserve; and
that staff evaluate the actual costs and benefits of the pilot program after the first semester and provide a report to City Council prior to the 2011 Budget.
