That Council endorse the application by Capital City
Speedway for a Liquor Sales License (Stadium) Application as is required by the
Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

accepte la demande de Capital City Speedway pour une licence pour débit de
boisson (stade) tel qu’exigée par la Commission des alcools et des jeux de
l’Ontario.
At its meeting of 8 November 2007, the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee suspended the Rules of Procedure, pursuant to section 84(3) of the Procedure By-law (being By-law no. 2006-462), to consider the addition of a late item to the agenda. Councillor El-Chantiry put forth the following motion, which was then approved by Committee, with respect to an application of the Capital City Speedway:
Whereas, Capital City Speedway has provided the residents of Ottawa with
exciting live sporting entertainment for more than 46 years being established
at its present location since 1961,
And whereas Capital City Speedway
has an existing liquor license to serve alcohol on its premises and wishes to
expand this service to selling beer and coolers in the fixed tier stadium
seating as a convenience to its patrons as is done in other venues in the City
of Ottawa,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that,
the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee recommend Council endorse the
application by Capital City Speedway for a Liquor Sales License (Stadium)
Application as is required by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
CONSULTATION
Public
consultation of liquor licensing applications is achieved by the Alcohol and
Gaming Commission of Ontario.
FINANCIAL
IMPLICATIONS
There is no financial implication to the City of
Ottawa.
