confirmation de l’Élection du président de la Société de Logement communautaire d’Ottawa

 

 

REPORT RECOMMENDATIONS

 

 

1.                  That the Shareholder confirm the election of Councillor Diane Holmes to the position of Chair of Ottawa Community Housing Corporation for the year 2007.

 

2.         That the Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to sign a written resolution on behalf of the City of Ottawa as shareholder of Ottawa Community Housing Corporation setting out the resolution approved by the City Council.

 

RECOMMADATION DU RAPPORT

 

1.         Que l’actionnaire confirme l’élection de Diane Holmes au poste de présidente de la Société de logement communautaire d’Ottawa pour l’année 2007.

 

2.         Que le maire et le greffier de la Ville soient autorisés à signer, au nom de la Ville d’Ottawa, en tant d’actionnaires de la Société de logement communautaire d’Ottawa une résolution écrite énonçant la résolution approuvée par le Conseil municipal.

 

BACKGROUND

 

At the inaugural meeting of the Board of Directors of OCHC on January 18th, 2007 the following Board members were elected as officers of the Corporation for 2007.

 

·        Chair                Councillor Diane Holmes

·        Vice-Chair            Denis Chartrand

·        Treasurer            Councillor Peggy Feltmate

·        Secretary            Councillor Christine Leadman

 

DISCUSSION

 

Clause 3.13 of OCHC By-Law 5 stipulates that “the Chair shall be confirmed by the Shareholder”. Accordingly the foregoing recommendation is presented for the approval of the Shareholder.
