RECOMMANDATIONS DU RAPPORT
Que le Conseil de santé du Service de la santé
de la Ville d’Ottawa approuve l’horaire des réunions de 2012 décrit dans le
présent rapport.
BACKGROUND
The Procedure By-law (By-law No. 2011-1) for the Ottawa Board of Health states that the regular meetings of the Board be held at 6:00 pm on the third Monday of each month in the Champlain Room at Ottawa City Hall, unless otherwise changed by the Board (section 8 subsection 1).
DISCUSSION
The purpose of this report is to set out the meeting dates for 2012 and to ensure that Board members can make the appropriate arrangements in their calendars.
It is expected that in 2012 the Board will need to meet once every two months. As a result, staff have scheduled regular Board meetings on the following dates in 2012 and ask for the Board to approve this list.
· January 16
· March 19
· May 21
· September 17
· October 15
· November 19
If, however, the need arises for a Special Meeting of the Board of
Health, one may be called, as outlined in section 14 of the Procedural by-law.
CONSULTATION
The purpose of this report is administrative in nature and therefore no public consultation is required.
There are no legal impediments to implementing the recommendations in this report.
There are no financial implications with the approval of the recommendation in this report.
DISPOSITION
Ottawa Public Health staff will use the meeting schedule as adopted by the Board to inform 2012 governance planning.
