At that time, staff will report to Committee and Council with a recommendation on the means to implement this authority within that regulation. Staff will report back to Committee when this regulation is enacted. The Province has not indicated when the Regulation will be released; possibly sometime in 2012. - ANALYSIS OF PLANNED AND APPROVED CONDOMINIUM APARTMENT UNITS IN THE CENTRAL
AREA (ACS2011-CMR-PLC-0020 ) That the Planning Committee direct staff to
prepare an analysis of the number of housing units planned and approved
inside the Greenbelt in order to assess the capacity of the City of Ottawa to
determine the total hard and soft costs of sustaining the rate of growth of
condominium apartment units, and that in preparing the analysis of the ‘soft’
costs of providing services needed to support the growth through
intensification, that the City of Ottawa retain the input of an ‘integrated development economist’ who
would be able to provide a wide analysis of the public investments needed to
sustain this rate of growth. |

- HYDRO SERVICE BETWEEN DIDSBURY ROAD AND HUNTMAR DRIVE
(ACS2011-CMR-PLC-0023) That Hydro Ottawa be requested to locate the continuation of the 27 KV transmission line westerly along or adjacent to Highway 417 between Disbury Road and Huntmar Drive and then eventually northerly along Huntmar Road; And that staff be directed to facilitate, other than financially, the acquisition of any easements required to permit the continuation of the transmission line along or adjacent to Highway 417. |

MOTION PLC 27/2 That the Intensification Implementation Working
Group provide a report with recommendations for a new policy to be enacted
for the suburban subdivision standards to Planning Committee by December
2012; Planning Committee instruct staff to come back on March 13, 2012 with a
temporary zoning by-law amendment to reinstate a requirement in Stittsville
for two parking spaces for detached, semi-detached and multiple attached
properties with a front or corner side yard setback of three metres or less,
to be in effect until December 31, 2012; and that staff come back to the same
meeting with their comments on applying this temporary zoning by-law
amendment to the entire suburban area. |
