1. PRESENTATION:
2012 PROVINCIAL BUDGET IMPACTS
Leonore Evans, Analyst, Policy Research,
Colleen Hendrick, Manager, Strategic Community Initiatives and Aaron Burry,
General Manager, Community and Social Services provided a PowerPoint
presentation on the 2012 Provincial Budget Impacts to the Community and Social
Services at the City of Ottawa. A copy of the presentation is held on
file with the City Clerk.
Members asked about rate increases for Ontario
Works and Ontario Disability Support Program recipients, qualification
requirements, how the City will make up the shortfall and gaps.
Linda Lalonde, Co-Chair Poverty Network addressed the
committee about the impacts of the 2012 Provincial Budget to residents on
social assistance.

Neighbourhood Livability and Brian Hum, Analyst, Sourcing and Supply Chain,

facilitating with small businesses

Summer Meetings
The Coordinator asked the committee if they wish to hold meetings in
July and August. Committee members
replied that the summer meetings can be cancelled but once the Advisory
Committee Governance Report is tabled that the committee would meet to discuss
the report.
