1. CONROY ROAD (REGIONAL ROAD 125) RECONSTRUCTION HUNT CLUB ROAD

TO WALKLEY ROAD

That the Transportation Committee recommend Council:

1. approve the Project Report and the functional design for Conroy Road as detailed on the presentation drawings;

2. authorize the Environment and Transportation Department to initiate expropriation proceedings and proceed with acquisition of property to be identified in the detailed design stage;

3. authorize the Environment and Transportation Department to proceed with the relocation of utilities to be determined in the detailed design stage.

4. Whereas Motion No. 40 from Regional Council was "referred to Transportation Committee to be dealt with as soon as a staff report on the project can be prepared"; and whereas the environmental study report is now submitted; be it resolved that staff be directed to bring a report to the Corporate Services and Economic Development Committee at its first meeting in June and that a recommendation for a contract award for the design component of the Conroy Road project be part of that report.

2. MODIFICATIONS TO THE INTERSECTION OF BANK STREET

AND CAHILL DRIVE - ADDENDUM REPORT

That the Transportation Committee recommend Council approve the revised design modifications to the intersection of Bank Street and Cahill Drive which incorporates the removal of the proposed channelizing island situated in the north-west quadrant and the provision of reduced corner radii in the north-west and south-west quadrants as illustrated in Annex A.

3. MODIFICATION TO CANADIAN TIRE ACCESS ON HERON ROAD

155M WEST OF BANK STREET

That the Transportation Committee recommend Council approve the installation of traffic control signals and associated roadway modifications at the main access to the Canadian Tire store on Heron Road 155 m west of Bank Street as illustrated in Annex D and authorize the initiation of the public hearing process as required by Sections 297 and 300 of the Ontario Municipal Act, subject to the owner, Canadian Tire Real Estate Limited:

1. paying for the total cost of traffic signal installation and related road works, and;

2. executing a legal agreement with respect to (1) above.

4. AIRPORT PARKWAY/HUNT CLUB ROAD INTERCHANGE

That the Transportation Committee:

1. Consider the preliminary design for the Airport Parkway/Hunt Club Road Interchange as illustrated on drawings R-30736-1, subject to the Public Hearing Process;

2. Authorize the initiation of the Public Hearing Process as required by Sections 297 and 300 of the Ontario Municipal Act;

3. Approve the installation of traffic control signals at the intersection of the Airport Parkway ramps and Hunt Club Road, subject to the public hearing process;

4. Consider the implementation of a yield control at the southbound Airport Parkway off-ramp to westbound Hunt Club Road intersection, subject to the public hearing process;

5. Authorize the relocation of the utilities as shown on presentation drawing R307361, subject to the public hearing process;

6. Refer this report to Council following the Public Hearing Process;

7. That an impact study be completed of the traffic implications to the communities of Old Ottawa South, Glebe and Centretown to the north.

8. That cycling route signs on the Airport Parkway be considered as part of the public hearing process.

9. Resolved that: In recognition of the Cycling Transportation Network status of the Airport Parkway and in recognition of the additional traffic which the Parkway is expected to carry; that signs be placed on the Parkway this year urging motorists to share the road (such additional signage not to come from the cycling budget.

10. That staff be directed to consult with the residential community backing on the Airport Parkway to identify a preferred option and budget for enhanced landscaping and/or noise attenuation.

5. TRAFFIC AND PARKING BY-LAW SET FINE INCREASES -

PUBLIC CONSULTATION

That the Transportation Committee recommend Council approve the new set fines for Traffic and Parking By-law No. 1 of 1996, as recommended in the attached report.
