1. Being a by-law to amend the Regional Regulatory Code, part 5.2.

2. Being a by-law to assume for public use and establish as common and public highways (certain lands to become part of the REGIONAL ROAD SYSTEM.)

3. Being a by-law in respect of the membership of the Ottawa-Carleton Regional Transit Commission.

M. NOTICES OF MOTION (FOR CONSIDERATION AT NEXT REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING)

Seconded by Councillor P. Hume

WHEREAS Ottawa-Carleton Regional Council believes it is important to make itself accessible and available to residents across the region; and

WHEREAS it is in the interests of democracy and participation that as many citizens as possible have an opportunity to monitor and participate in the democratic process;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Regional Council will, from time to time, move its meetings out of the Ottawa-Carleton Centre and into the community, in church halls, school gyms or other community venues; and

FURTHER THAT there be at least one meeting in each of the region's 11 municipalities over the course of this term of Council.

NOTICE

FOLLOWING ADJOURNMENT OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING, A SHORT MEETING OF THE NEW TRANSIT COMMISSION WILL BE IMMEDIATELY CONVENED FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENACTING A BY-LAW TO ESTABLISH A PUBLIC TRANSIT COMMITTEE AND TO MAKE INTERIM ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS.
