That the Ottawa-Carleton Regional Police Services Board authorize a lease with 1252151 Ontario Ltd. for 2,421 ft2 of ground floor office space located at 395 Somerset Street West, City of Ottawa, for a Community Police Office, for five years from September 1, 1998 to August 21, 2003, at a cost of $43,578 per annum, plus GST.

10. APPOINTMENT OF RCMP OFFICERS AS

SPECIAL CONSTABLES - CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS

1. That the Ottawa-Carleton Regional Police Services Board appoint as Special Constables pursuant to section 53 of the Police Services Act those regular members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police who have been recommended by the Commanding Officer of the RCMP "A" Division and whose names have been submitted to the Chief of Police; and

2. That the period of appointment be from Monday, the 29th day of June 1998 to Friday, the 3rd day of July 1998 inclusive, and that the appointment be valid within the Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton.

 

11. CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF POLICE BOARDS’ Bulletin: Changes to the Youth Justice System

1. Endorse the Youth Justice Strategy recently announced by the Minister of Justice; and

2. Recommend that the Canadian Association of Police Boards be involved in the consultation process.

 

 

12. ATTENDANCE AT "LEADING CHANGE IN POLICE ORGANIZATIONS" PROGRAM
