1. LEGAL AUTHORITY TO PERFORM CIVIC ADDRESSING

That a sub-committee be formed comprised of Councillor Cantin, the public representative on the 9-1-1 Management Board, a member of the Regional Municipal By-law Enforcement Committee and a representative from each of the three emergency services to examine present civic addressing practices in Ottawa-Carleton (home and business), with recommendations to the Board, the Corporate Services and Economic Development Committee, Regional Council and local municipal councils and committees.

2. DUPLICATE CIVIC ADDRESSING - RIVER ROAD

IN THE TOWNSHIP OF OSGOODE/SOUTH GOWER

That the 9-1-1 Management Board send a letter to the Fire Chief of the Township of Osgoode, supporting the position he intends to take with respect to the issue of duplicate civic addressing on River Road and that he be requested to report back to the 9-1-1 Advisory Committee on 12 March 1999.

3. PUBLIC EMERGENCY REPORTING SERVICE (PERS) MIGRATION

That the 9-1-1 Management Board receive this verbal report for information.

4. WOODROFFE AVENUE TRAFFIC CALMING STUDY -

APPOINTMENT OF EMERGENCY SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE

That the 9-1-1 Management Board send a letter to the Ottawa Fire Department, the Ottawa Central Ambulance Communication Centre and the Ottawa-Carleton Police Services with a request that they jointly or individually appoint a representative to serve on the Public Advisory Committee to provide comments as part of the Woodroffe Avenue Traffic Calming Study and the Main Street Traffic Calming Study.

5. RECOMMENDATIONS RESULTING FROM A FATAL ACCIDENT

That the 9-1-1 Management Board write a letter to the Chair of the Tiered Response Utilization Review Committee and the 9-1-1 Bureau Training Co-ordinator to ensure the 9-1-1 Manual is up-to-date and that call takers refer to that manual and are aware of tiered response during emergencies and are trained properly.

6. AMBULANCE RESPONSE TO OLD ST. PATRICK STREET

That the 9-1-1 Management Board write to the City of Ottawa indicating its support for changing the name of Old St. Patrick Street in order to reduce confusion for emergency response services.
