Property Standards Committee/Court Of Revision

TERMS OF REFERENCE

To hear and make decisions on appeals against orders issued by Property Standards Officers: The committee may (a) confirm the order, (b) modify or quash the order, or (c) extend the time for complying with the order provided that, in the opinion of the committee, the general intent and purpose of this by-law and of the Official Plan of the Corporation are maintained.

To serve as Court of Revision under the City of Ottawa Act, 1984 (Mall Levies) and under the Local Improvement Act (industrial subdivisions).

COMPOSITION

Total Membership -3 - (Term is 3 years)

3 residents of the City of Ottawa, one whom shall be a tenant

(The Property Standards Committee shall serve as Court of Revision).

(Cannot be a member of Council or employee of the City or Local Board)

Whenever there is an appeal
