Ottawa residents can now receive and pay their water and property tax bills online for free with by registering with epost at www.epost.ca.

Using epost is simple, convenient, secure and at no cost to you. It allows you to receive and pay your bills as well as manage, store and organize your electronic mail at any time from virtually anywhere you choose. All you need is access to the Internet.

How does it work?

To receive and pay your bills online, sign up with epost at www.epost.ca.

When you sign up, you will receive a private and secure electronic mailbox (epost boxTM) that is accessible at any time from any computer with Internet access. Next, select the bills you would like to receive electronically. You may select both City of Ottawa water and City of Ottawa property tax bills from the list of available Mailers at epost. Once your bills arrive to your epost boxTM, you can pay, manage and store them conveniently and efficiently using various payment options.

How do I pay for my bills with epost?

There are various payment options with epost. As a Pre-Authorized Payment Plan customer (PAP), you can pay your bills through automatic withdrawal from your financial institution account.

You can also pay your bills by linking to your financial institution's website and using their Internet Banking service.

Or, you may choose to use epost's free Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) service. Detailed instructions are available at www.epost.ca.
