CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL IS NOT COLLECTED WITH THE REGULAR GARBAGE PICK-UP

  • Waste generated as a result of construction, demolition or renovation operations is not accepted in the regular garbage.
  • However, small quantities of renovation waste such as carpet (excluding wooden pallets) are accepted in the garbage as long as the material is properly packaged and does not exceed the 6 container or item limit.
  • The material must be tied into compact bundles or parcels not exceeding 1.2m (4ft) in length, not exceeding 0.76m (2ft) in width and height and not exceeding 15 kilograms in weight.

Scrap Metal

SCRAP METAL

  • This material is or contains scrap metal which can be brought to the municipal landfill where it can be disposed without a tipping fee as long as it is separated from other loads
  • Tipping fees will apply if scrap metal is mixed with other material or garbage
  • Check Municipal Landfill for directions, hours of operation and tipping fees.
