Annex C
In August
2007, the Ottawa Police Service hired 25 new recruits. These officers reflect the diversity of the
Ottawa community and include representation from various visible minority
groups. The group is comprised of 14
men and 11 women. In addition, 22
officers have post-secondary education.
Eighteen of the recruits speak more than one language including 2 who
speak 3 or more languages, and 2 who know American Sign Language.
