Ottawa Municipal Campground Regulations
1.
A
campsite permit will be issued only to a person 18 years of age or older. The
registrant must remain overnight on the campsite for which the permit is
issued. The registrant is responsible at all times for any minors on the
campsite and for any damage to the campground.
A permit holder may remain at a campsite for a maximum period of 28 days

The
maximum number of occupants of a campsite is FIVE. For a single family group
consisting of at least 2 children under 13, the maximum occupancy is SIX.
3.
A
maximum of TWO camping units is allowed on a site. This may consist of either 2
tents, one RV and one tent or one trailer and one tent. One other non camping
vehicle (auto or motorbike) is also allowed on the site. Any other vehicle
including visitor vehicles must be parked in the designated parking area near
the entrance. Parking on access roadways, vacant campsites, or on grassed
common areas is strictly prohibited
4.
Pets
shall not be left unattended outside the confines of the owner’s recreational
vehicle. Pets are the responsibility of the owner and shall be restrained by a
leash not exceeding 2 meters in length. Owners
are reminded that they are obliged to clean up after their pet.
5. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is
strictly prohibited except for registered campers on their own site.
6.
Persons
visiting registered campers are permitted entry between 9 AM and 9 PM. All
visitors must depart by 11PM without exception. Visitor fees as posted must be
paid prior to entry. Registered campers are responsible for their visitors at
all times.
7.
Fires
are permitted ONLY in the fireplaces located on the campsite. Local fire
regulations may require prohibitions during parts of the season. An adult shall
be in attendance at all times and shall ensure the fire is extinguished before
leaving it. Large fires will not be tolerated. Since this campsite is located
within the greenbelt foraging for deadfall or branches is strictly prohibited.
8.
No
person shall damage, cut pick any plant, shrub, flower or tree. Removal of
campground equipment, property or natural objects is prohibited and subject to
prosecution. Disturbing wildlife is
prohibited.
9.
Firearms
or other weapons are prohibited. Fireworks are likewise prohibited.
10.
The
posted speed limit through the entire campground is 15 Km per hour. This
regulation is strictly enforced for the benefit of all in the campground.
11. The washing of vehicles in the Campground
is strictly prohibited.
12. Canvassing, soliciting or selling is prohibited
without written permission of the manager.
13.
Dishwashing
is prohibited in washrooms and drinking fountains. Wash sinks are provided for
this purpose outside each washroom. Similarly the hanging of clotheslines is
not permitted in the campground.
14.
Bicycle
use is permitted only by registered
campers. Motorcycle or other motorized
vehicle use is permitted only to travel between entrance and campsite. Use of
generators is not permitted within the campground.
15.
No
person shall create a disturbance or behave in such a manner as to cause
annoyance to other persons. Please respect the privacy of other campers. Quiet hours are 11PM to 7 AM and are
strictly enforced
16.
Skateboarding
is prohibited within the campsite
17.
The
Management is not responsible for stolen, lost or damaged articles, equipment
or vehicles
18.
Campers
should ensure that their sites are kept clean and that all refuse and waste
materials are deposited in waste containers provided for that purpose
throughout the campground. Under no circumstances shall raw sewage( blackwater
or grey water etc) be dumped or otherwise disposed of on the ground. A sanitary
dump station is provided for this purpose.
19.
Management
reserves the right to assign all campsites. Site allocation is based on
individual requirements, utilities and the size and type of units occupying
them. While we will make every effort
to accede to specific requests or reservations, we sincerely regret that
individual campsites cannot be guaranteed and we accept no responsibility for
same.
20.
Campground
staff are authorized to enforce the foregoing regulations and maintain order in
the campground. Violators may be subject to prosecution and/or ejection without
refund.
The Management and office staff will be happy to
provide all possible information concerning campground services and general
points of tour interest in the Ottawa area. We sincerely hope that your visit
